The party can run until 5 am. Bonus points: no corkage fee, total freedom to choose your own vendors, and the same price on weekdays and weekends. The next-day brunch is included too.

3. Château d’Aveny

An 18th-century château in the Vexin National Park, just 25 minutes from Giverny, where Monet painted his water lilies. Six hectares (about 15 acres) of park for your ceremony, a terrace of over 10,800 sq ft for cocktails, and a gallery where 200 guests sit down to dinner and then dance in the same room. The facade is lit up at night. It’s great for families too, with a kids’ space. And the morning after, you can send guests off to kayak, bike, or stroll through Giverny.

4. Château de Villette

A 17th-century château in the Yvelines with interiors by Jacques Garcia. Its formal French Baroque garden is said to have inspired the gardens of the White House. For a couple who wants more than a venue, who wants a story with a big name behind it, this is the one. The glasshouse seats 200 guests, and the main house comfortably seats 85 for dinner.

5. Château de Vallery

A Renaissance château, a listed historic monument, on the former lands of the Princes de Condé. Three kings of France stayed here. Inside you’ll find candlelit 12th-century vaulted cellars, the Great Gallery, and an Oriental pavilion. Outside, a torch-lit park, a heated pool, and a tennis court. And the best part: no music curfew and no closing time. Dance until sunrise. You also get an electric car for guests and luggage, and a night manager for the whole wedding night.
